Hey There!

Hi, allow me to introduce myself! I’m Melissa and I’m a certified professional tour guide in San Antonio and the owner of There She Goes Tours SATX! Also a Mom of recent grown ups, a teacher, online retailer, lifelong crafter, and most of all, a lover of travel, history, art, culture, and foodways.

Started 2025 as a member of the The Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio Education Class; finished out the year as a newly minted certified Guide. Several times a week you’ll find me helping with student tours and a docent at the Alamo. Now I'm very excited about my new series of San Antonio walking tours for adults and for families in 2026!

Being part of the Education Class of tour guides-in-training last year gave me the unique opportunity to do deep, deep dives into all aspects of San Antonio's history and culture. I'll be using this space to post a bit about cool stuff I learned (and relearned) and places I had the privilege to visit.
