 Whether you’re a long-time local or newly arrived, there’s so much to learn about our great city’s 308-year history and the people who built it. Fall in love with San Antonio for the first time, or all over again, by exploring on foot! Tours meet downtown or other locations. Parking is available at street meters, and in various lots and garages nearby. Parking fees not included.

Take in the elegance of the King William Historic District and learn about the architecture and people who inhabited this exceptional neighborhood. Walk back in time along the major streets of San Antonio’s first designated historic district.

ALAMO, MILITARY & MAIN: SECRETS OF DOWNTOWN SAN ANTONIO'S PLAZAS

Over 300 years of history coexist with today’s San Antonio within the original Spanish-era plazas of downtown San Antonio. Walk in the footsteps of our city’s founders and revisit some extraordinary events that took place in Alamo, Military and Main Plazas.  

WOMEN AT THE ALAMO

When we think of the Alamo, men are the main characters of the stories. Join us for a walk around the shrine of Texas liberty to learn about the lesser-known stories of strong Texas women who have impacted the Alamo and our state’s history. Tour includes an optional visit to the Ralston Family Collections Center museum at the end of the tour for an additional $14 fee payable at location.  

WORLD HERITAGE CENTER: A SAN ANTONIO HIDDEN GEM
TUES, APRIL 21
Explore and celebrate the UNESCO San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site and the area around it during our guided tour. Learn about the culture and history of the neighborhoods surrounding San Jose, Concepcion, San Juan, and Espada missions through artifacts, stories, art, and multimedia exhibits. Tour also includes the historic Mission Drive-in Theater.
